Please post here anything else (not relating to Maxwell technical matters)

I found on the web this new Render Engine:

Fryrender from the Firm Feversoft also lokated in Madrid Spain?!?

It seems that this Renderer functions exactly simular like the one from maxwell. I tested it with SketchUp. Its also a physically Render with Plugins in many 3D Apps. But they just support Windows.

And they plan a great Tool (I hope maxwell will do the same) called Random Control 4.
See the link: http://www.fryrender.com/#product/features|f=rc4

They say:"fryrender is the first render engine of its kind capable of transporting scenes into a format that will make them navigable in real-time. This revolutionary technology which we call Random Control 4 will be available soon."

What are you think about this Firm and Render? They are Friends? Is it the same Render Engine? I'm a little bit confused, because both companies have their domicile in Madrid. And the render seems to operate directly simular like one from NextLimit.

Here some Screenshots: (The Testrendering in the last Screenshot was just 6 Minutes working)

Hmmm... I think I've seen this render engine mentioned here before... ;)

Did you try to search for "fryrender" or "fry" here at the Maxwell Forum?

On your Website, in the Material secton, you have Maxwell and Fryrender Materail mixed.

http://maximus3d.net/materials/thumb.html

So i think you know how good fryrender is working. Now, i have more Questions:

Which Render is qualitatively better and faster? Has Fryrender the
same material file. Can I open Maxwell materials in Fryrender?

Well i'm now more confused ?!?!
What's going on in Madrid (Spain) ???

Yes that's correct, i have to admit i do own a license of Fryrender and that's the reason why you see a materials made with Fryrender in my gallery.

It's like this.. Fryrender works fine, as long as you're on a 64bit OS with a minimum of 4gb ram, more is really necessary if you're gonna produce anything other than simple testrenders of everything else except highpoly models. It loves to consume large amounts of ram as it stores all materials and their respective textures in ram and that just won't play nice when you run on 2gb in your system. It results in crashes etc.

About it's renderquality, sure it's good but so is Maxwell so i'm just gonna leave it at that and let each person decide on their own which tool they prefer. If not both..

Maxwell and Fry's materials are not compatible, they cannot read/write eachothers files. However since both are very similar engines, both are unbiased and both have very similar materialeditors you can copy and paste materialsettings between the engines and manually replicate materials from one engine to the other like that, with tweaking ofcourse.

There is more to say about some of the betatesters bad attitudes and the general hostile atmosphere there towards people who don't praise everything being said and done over there. But i cannot comment on that on the forum here, it has to be in private.

Thank you Maximus3D. I understand ore have the feeling it to do.... Well, we are all "just" humans.

So i hope, next Limit will still improfe that great render maxwell. Because i'm working on Mac OSX ;-)

Perhaps the programmers from Maxwell and Fryreder ("again") find together, in order to improve this or that product just faster....

I know this is a touchy subject on both forums but I have to say - I tried Fry for a while an in my opinion the render quality/realism is not even in the same league as Maxwell, its just a cheesy substitute. It may function more smoothly but thats irrelevant if the quality isn't there. And in the words of Forest Gump (I think) - thats all I have to say about that.

I envision them in Madrid driving by each others' offices and throwing eggs at each others' cars!
I wonder if they try to steal each others' employees...
I can also see internal espionage...
I bet it's like "spy vs. spy" over there.
Any truth to this NL?

I don't see any excess hostility on that forum. It's your own problem that you cannot get along with people because you have absolutely no empathy. You sometimes spit out complete nonsense and you just don't get it why people get angry over it. Your understanding of the technical aspects and human nature are lacking so refrain from commenting. You've made so many faux pases in the past that you're getting people very very uncomfortable when they see you unrightly complaining again. Get it in your skull already. I don't say you're bad artist or a photographer but you're like 70% of the time totaly wrong.

And to the memory issues. Even on that forum you have been told the problem is probably somehwere on your side. Man even the demo I tried with 2gb ram back then NEVER had any memory issues even with 1,5 mil poly scenes and quite large texture maps.

Max, c'mon and wake up.. the problem is definitely somehwere on your side........

And when it comes to output quality-wise, Fryrender is definitely in the same leaque as Maxwell, Indigo, Radium and Kerkythea.

This is just one of the recent Fryrender pics. If you say that this is not a high-quality output atleast in the same level as Maxwell you're a fool.

I feel sorry for you Hybaj as you to fail to see beyond your own nose, don't you see the patterns on that forum. Everyone who loves Fry are promoted to betatesters and everyone else are nailed to the cross (like me). You want me to post the very hostile and threatening pm's i got from a so called "professional" betatester and close friend of the main coder of Fry ? you wanna read the bullshit this guy said ? it's very interesting reading.

And noone ever believes me on that forum when i say there are issues with the engine, they refuse to listen to me and i been saying things needs to be fixed for several almost a year now yet my comments are always ignored and brushed off as complaints by a jerk or whatever. I know the problem is not my with my hardware, it's checked, doublechecked and checked again for issues.

And you may call me whatever names you want, i don't care and feel free to call me a bad "artist" if you like. It doesn't bother me because i know i suck at 3d, photography and everything else. Always have, always will.

They will probably ban me now..

Max, I have not seen really anything excessive on that forum. I go through the forum almost every day to see what's new. But it's also true that I don't know what is going behind the curtains in the most private areas.

And btw.. what so called "professional" betatesters say it's something I don't care about.. I care more about what the developers say becuase they simply have a much bigger amount of credibility to speak about the technical aspects.
