That's better, but the angle of the shadows on the inside vs the outside are different... makes it a bit weird.

looks like your apartment is in the midddle of a public park!

generally, a camera will not capture the outside (window) because there's huge difference in light levels between the inside of a room and the outside.. take a look at this pic

and my humble try at it
here

But let's forget about the background for a second... your tv seems to be very low to the ground and your furniture arrangement seems to avoid the tv

You have to work a lot more on your materials, and modeling. There is not a hint of shape, or highlights in many of the objects. Add small bevels to the window frames for example and the loudspeakers (they just look like a solid color black lump in the render). Look around your own apartment, can you spot many surfaces that are truly 100% diffuse? Everything has a little reflection to it, more or less specular/diffuse.

Turbo2000-

Good work...

I'd look at your object proportions... vases on window sills in context of couch against wall (pillows on couch), table, as well as couch away from wall -- flowers outside.

I imagine people sitting on the couch against the wall and then standing and I'm wondering how big the objects are in the room vs. the size of people that might fill your room?

Do recognize this is probably a wip...so.

Anyway...nice work.

Nice Render a good start but something bout the scale is bothering me? Cant put my finger on it! :? Possibly those chairs/couches.

If you have a chance, take a look at Hogarth's classic..."False Perspective"...it falls to an extreme of absurdity regarding perspective -- which I'm definitely not suggesting is the case with your room. But, it might offer some food for thought as you rework your room.

Just to be clear, I'm not advocating that anyone should devote much, if any, time to study false perspective as it's certainly better to look at use of good perspective and proportions for reference when working on developing skills.
