Decided to model a flashlight.
I'm going to try to model the light and cone accurately to see if I can reproduce the lighting in Maxwell. This is a "spare time" project so it might move slowly...

There are a lot of sharp corners. You could (should) add tiny bevels. ;)

I am guessing that you're modeling this in Max?

Can you explain the process you've gone through to model the plastic head of the light and the plastic peice at the bottom of the light with the cutouts/bevels around it?

Jason, I tried several attempts to poly model those ridges cleanly, but I gave up and used proboolean on them. The result was fairly clean, but it prevents me from adding bevels to the edges like Tom suggested. Anyway, it looks ok for what it is. :wink:
Now I'm having material issues. Trying to get the brushed metal to look like the real thing.
