Polynurb,
If you like Dub, you must listen to "Garney's Ghost" by Burning Spear.
Released late '70's or so.
All cuts are with words, and Dub versions. I've listened to it since a friend played it for me circa 1979 or 1980.
It never gets old.

Oh, I forgot to mention, my wife (an enamelist/jeweler) is now into Books On Tape, which includes books on CD.
I find them interesting when I am doing mindless tasks that allow both my brain cells to listen to the story.
For 3D modeling or rendering, I need to focus on the task too much for them to be helpful.
Quite a wide a variety of books available from the local library.

Thanks for your links, added!!

Soft music for modelling & texturing, harder for creation, lighting & rendering!

Some of them:
Jazz (Red garland, Quincy Jones, ElectroJazz...)
Electro (Shoutcast "minimal" radios, Front 242, Frontline Assembly, Depeche Mode, Isolee etc)
Supertramp, The Doors, Hendrix, Noir Desir, U2, Public Ennemy, Amon Tobin, Massive Attack, Mark Isham...

I can't live without music!

Polynurb,
Oh, geez, you're right.....let me dust the cobwebs off.......Just out of college.
I had gotten my first Marley album the year before, and a friend
brought this Burning Spear album over. His "Live in Paris" is also very good.
Saw him about '92-'93 in Charleston, SC. Incredible concert.
The opening band looked like ZZ Top and did all reggae covers.
Enjoy....

Will, some of that stuff is OK. Not really a form I listen to, but I like bumping around.

Here's an old album I wonder if anybody else listened to.....
"Western Flyer" by Hapsash & The Colored Coat. 1969 or so.
The drummer went on to be half of T. Rex.
