Here's a beer glass that I made yesterday and rendered overnight:



It's not perfect, but looking pretty good.

Where do I get the "Maxwell" logo to put on the image?

Post processing of levels in Photoshop.

11 hrs /sample level 19

P4 3.2Ghz, 2G ram, Nvidia FX1100

P.S. There's a "trick" in the model...

it is looking very good... you have found thr trick to blend the liquid with the glass on sides...

can you share your modeling...?

maybe the beer itself a little more luminous..

The color looks like olive oil rather than a beer, but it's a good render anyway.

Yes, I made the wall thickness of the glass change over it's length. It's about 2.75mm thick, but only 0.1mm where the liquid is.

Tom's right, the color sucks! I can't seem to get a handle on color using Maxwell! The camera settings are not correct, either.

There's also "bubbles" in the "beer", but they didn;t show up!

I can post the models (they're Lightwave) if people want to mess around with them.

Not overlapping. I think this is a "beat frequency" from the poly's in the glass beating against the "beer" against the sample rate.
