Decided to tackle the idea of doing a complete house... inside and out... all in one model. Here's what I've got so far; I'll be posting updates as I go.

Finished out modeling the kitchen. I think I'm going to get rid of the light over the sink as it blows out the wall. Now it's time to add textures and clutter to it. I also shot a new overhead shot since I cut the windows for the kitchen into the exterior.

@Bubbaloo: So far the file is still pretty small, only 10megs. I do my modeling in AutoCAD and then use 3DS Max for texturing and cameras and "clutter" placement.

@Herve: Thanks. I've had my computer to do this for awhile, just hadn't been motivated until lately. =P

thanks... ya know what... cover the entire model with ceilings... then make the ceilings mesh unseen by cam... it will look amazing.. and the lighting will be more exact.. but it will take longer to clear..

It's been awhile since I've updated this thread. Finished the majority of the master bathroom and did a material test of the living room.

I like to model as much of the house as I can also. But I realized I was maybe spending to much time in the virtual world when I decided not to delete excess furniture and store it in the spare bedroom instead.

Your exterior shots will benefit from the completed interiors expecially if you include drapes.

So, is this a known issue?
