I have exactly the same Problem and the same Mac like you. I have a G5 dual 2Ghz Mac, Tiger. When I try to start a .mxs file, then the icon in the dock shortly pops up but, nothing happens at all. There must be something incompatible with the dual G5 2Ghz. I have an G4 iBook, where the Maxwell Standalone App works without problems.

I hope, next limit can fix this problem

I tried all the association tricks. Looks like we're stuck. I guess the site says the standalone comes out June 15th? I guess I can wait till then.

I have exactly no problem and the same Mac as you. 2 x 2 GHz, Tiger.

One important sidenote, though it is covered in the docs: Please open the console to see what Maxwell is doing, whatever you'll find here, it will certainly help you to track this down.
