The camcorder work is amazing and I love the video intros almost as much as the videos themselves!

Is this all rendered in Maxwell? If so, what are the frame times like? On what sort of machine / farm?

Hey oz42, Thanks man,
I am doing an interior shot now that will be part of the short. Unfortunately it is not Maxwell, but the one that cannot be mentioned. I am doing about 10 to 15 min a frame on a single machine Inter Xeon dual with 4 gigs of ram, which is like having mental ray times. This interior went up to 20 min but that is still better than Vray. This animation squeunce will be out sometime next week after i finish the modeling.

no, i did it manually, but do you have a link for that? might be better than manually

Scratch that - those plugins will probaly wont work with the engine anyway.

won't work with the engine? Are you rendering through a third party like MW studio? They work with any engine, it's a max / maya camera plugin.

@will- I send you a private message.

The imperfections in the walls and the slabs were done by extruding the edges and cutting the dents. After that applying different smoothing groups and doing some paint modifying.

Thanks

insomnia3d, I now remember seeing you at 'the other place'. Still 10mins per frame is very impressive. How are you geeting such good times? (pm me if you'd prefer)

Crap that looks nice. All you need are some characters to entertain the scene and this will be front page CG Talk material.

I'd too like to get a PM regarding the renderer used for this animation and how you're cranking out frames that are noise free.

We know it's Fry, but why are the frames rendering so fast?
