i think you will find it is to do with your computer...if you have a lower spec pc-it wont be able to import that many maxwell materials before it slows down....i only generally get a slow down at the very end of scene set up when i have a lot of materials in and around the interface....but then again im only running a AMD X2 6000+ and a 8800 gts 640 with 2gb of ram....im pretty sure this problem will disappear once i upgrade!

.ST3.: Thank you but I am fairly certain the problem is not with my system. I use other Cinema plugins with their own unique tags and no interface/ scene loading slowdown occurrs. I will ask a Cinema/ VRay user if they get similar problems.

Not that it matters much at present because I have gone back to using an earlier plugin with the Maxwell 1.6 render engine. Works good enough.

i think i have the same problem as adri.
when i import just 5 maxwell materials in c4d the general UI of c4d slowdown.
by deleting thees materials everything is normal again.
if i try to import more maxwell materials in c4d than the UI gets slower and slower!

so, this is quit strang?

i use a pc dual xeon 3.2GHz 4gb ram Ati radeon XTX1900 with Cinema 4d R10.102 (32bit or 64bit)
