I found this one a few days ago, it's a small utility but it does a great job so you don't have to run through a loooong list in the Startmenu in Windows but this is more like what it looks like in OSX.

Excellent isn't it i been looking for a util that could do something like this quickly and easily for a long time now and this one is it.

So you had it installed for such a long time jomaga and you never told us about it until now i wish you told me earlier this thing existed.

Hehe thanks for the link to those icons and stuff. I heard of Objectdock but isn't that thing using more ram and slowing down a system more compared to RocketDock ?

I haven't noticed any increase in ram usage and cpu usage beyond the 16mb that RocketDock uses when it's running. If ObjectDock has a similar footprint then it's usable.

Thanks jomaga, i appreciate it based on that it looks like RocketDock is still the way to go for now unless ObjectDock has something extra special to offer that kicks RocketDock's butt.

Which one do you prefer ? since you have both.

I've found objectdock this morning, I need some time to work with it, but it's somehow a little better Imho. I have both placed at the top of the screen (I think it's the best position) and Objectdock work a little better with the top bar of the windows (Minimize, maximize, close) Rocketdock is too sensible in this position, I've launched apps instead of closing windows a lot of times.

sampson: Yep it sure is great! and i hope you find it useful.

Koufax: that's just the thing with this, when you don't use it then it autohides so you won't see the extra icons, it keeps your desktop uncluttered and clean. Btw, you gotta be one of the few people i know who actually see your desktop background i haven't seen mine in well over 10 years, well only upon reboot and startup but that's just for like 1-2 minutes.

I just installed it last night and it's fantastic! I have nothing on my desktop other than two folders and the rocket dock up top. Looks clean!
