I think it would be nice to be able to set the displacement value lower than 0,001 otherwise I have to fiddle with brightness of the height maps.

i didnt try, but you could scale, let say to 100x, untick the Asolute units, and then unscale?

Right click on the value field and set Decimal Precision, that should help.
