holy cow, that's incredible - i can nearly see the license plates on the cars.
You really need a good lens for that, i imagine any distortion has terrible effects when magnified.

I worked with a co that made lenses that were photographing license plates from outer space in the late 80's.
It's interesting to see it online, but as far as photographic technology,
its old hat.
