Yes, please... Keep Cinemaxwell alive.

I am able to use it and feel relatively satisfied with it, but the much commented on work flow issues need to be resolved.

More than anything I would like to see the plug-in keep up with M~R development so we can access the latest features.

Cheers,

Hi Matt,

Are you still waiting for your plus one? If so, just send me a PM specifying the name on your license (the name under which the license was purchased) and I will sort it out with our sales department.

Thanks!

Nicole

BTW: we are not forgetting about the C4D users and we're working hard to further improve the plug-in!.....

Nicole, can you please disclose the plans for the c4d plugin for Maxwell Render.

In a thread, where end users are worried about, as in this case a plugin, the only reaction from nl is a answer that is off topic!
This is so weird, I can´t believe I am reading this.

I am afraid that I am not feeling assured by the "BTW" comment.
In another thread, information was released that the c4d plugin coder had quit...

Don't nl want people to use their renderer?

Hi,

Obviously I cannot disclose the exact plans for the C4D plug-in or else I would have included a long list of improvements and features in my previous post.
I was just trying to let you know that we are not giving up at all on the C4D plug-in as some users seem worried about that. It seems like it's better not to say anything at all. The "BTW" is just an informal abbreviation, if you prefer I can write in a more formal manner using fancy words, but as we are just in a wishlist thread here I didn't think it would offend people. If you are not assured by my comment that's sad, but it's all I can currently say.
Of course Next Limit wants people to use Maxwell Render. If we were not interested, why would I still bother responding to this thread? It's exactly what I was trying to say in my last post: we do care about our C4D users and are doing everything we can to improve the C4D plug-in.

Thanks for your understanding.

Hi Nicole.

Thank you for the statement!

We know you are doing your job and we are doing ours.
Please don't think we want to give you a hard time.

It is normal that after the missing coder news, people who rely on Cinema 4D an Cinemaxwell/Maxwell to earn money, are very anxious.

It's not like we were asking the classic question of "What are the new features / Bugs currently being worked on" etc, as I understand that you can't let us know all that stuff, and that is ok. (My opinion anyways)

But the coder issue was more of an existential fear of loosing the connection to our favourite renderer, namely Maxwell.
And thus losing money.

I am very gracious for your honesty of letting us know that there were coder issues.
Please keep that communication alive.

I thank you again for helping the Cinema 4D community, and for supporting the plugin, Nicole.

Keep up the good work Nicole.

Greetings from Luxembourg

Chris
PS: I love Maxwell ! There is improvement to be done, granted.
But I would hate to have to stop working with it.
It does what I need it to do.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for clearing that up and I'm sorry if I misunderstood earlier posts. I understand the C4D users are a bit anxious after the news of the C4D developer leaving. However, we have handled the situation the best we could and continued development internally, and we have made good progress.

My intention of previous posts was to assure C4D users not to worry, as we are dedicated to keeping the C4D plug-in very much alive!

Thanks!

Thanks for your reassuring words Nicole. As a M~R/C4D user, I have been hanging in here since March 2005 and got quite concerned after reading some posts by distressed M~R users over at the C4D/CGTalk forum.

Signed: Much Relieved

@NextLimit:

Please take a look at the integration of Fryrender or Vray into C4D - I really hope NL can make it as good or even better as the competitors do!

So, is this a known issue?

Thanks a lot for your response, I will update and […]

did you tried luxCore?
