You cant export from LDD tho ..

Your bricks are pretty close to what they actually have to be.

You should have some bevels on the knobs tho, and the lego text should be more embossed. But over all - very well done :)

Bevels like at this one :

Thanks, cali. I have not tried this program. It looks like the bevels are too much on that model. Legos that I have are pretty sharply edged. I agree on the "LEGO" text, tho. It needs to be raised more.

Its easier if you just look at a lego box in your local toy store :P .. None of them are made in maxwell tho .. Maxwell is my private license.

We use Maya and a mix of Maya software renderer, MentalRay and finalRender for a few test projects. This is for the rendering part.

Personally I would like to use Maxwell, but theres the speed issue - and maxwell is the best quality I have seen, but it isnt the fastetst :D ..

We also use Unigraphics, ProE, Rhino and prolly a lot of other stuff, but its a big place, and I dunno them all.

to assemble the models, we use our own maya plugin system for the whole process from design to final images on the boxes.

Guess what? More pieces...

I am considering not assembling this thing, and just rendering a big pile of legos... Maybe I can put a wrench in the hand of a lego guy like he's going to fix it... :D

So many "pieces" updates I had to go back and look at what this was going to be eventually.

You wouldn't by any chance be thinking of sharing thses pieces when you're all done are you?
