Well, i have to say that the time span is impressive, but let's keep an eye on the fact that the Sponza model is carefully and fully textured. I believe that using a simple clay material would show the difference much more, even if it is already visible when you look at the ceiling (i do not know the right translation in english, sorry...). The problem is always the same, and so is the answer: quality comes for a price.
But this is just an opinion

Thanks for dropping in guys..........I'm really impressed how well the Maxwell network operates, and there's no contest quality-wise..........however the latest LW render-core does appear to be super quick, GI has always been a headache until v9.3.

That said, my client wants the anim in Maxwell.........which is great news! [they have the time and the budget].........so it's time to get another 8-cores methinks.
