i have a feeling mudbox will not get integrated at all. i guess instead we get another pimped .fbx format that can bring it into mudbox and then back into max or maya.

i think its a bit sad to see maya become another 3dmax. i would have preferred to see them write their own code with a deep integration into maya. instead we get standalone tools or (exspected) crappy plugins.

i wonder if xsis uv improvements match Mayas. if so (and if the new particle tool will find its way into the app soon) then xsi seems to be the unbeatable choice in the market. the new announced prices are just phenomenal.

i have to say if they do as well as they do with maya, mudbox will have a great future !

the ncloth system was developed by the two main physics developer brains of old maya. i saw a video which really showed that autodesk was positively motivated to push maya even further.

give them a chance !

It's funny. At Siggraph I was watching a presentation of the new Max, and they pretty much incorporated all of Maya's handy features into it. Looks like they're going to be eliminating one program or making one super program in the future. They can only update two seperate softwares for so long.

This company is a ruination.

Sorry, I don' understand why this is the same...
I know that they are doing similar job but in such a different way that they can never come to one application.
I would love to see Revit arch and Revit struc in one program.
I know that Revit has a poor development but many of us ( probably me included) would not pay almost 4500€ for Revit if a big company didn't support it.
So, it is a nice thing that a company like Autodesk promotes a smaller app, even if it ends to be part of a bigger one.
