First of all thanks for posting transparent PNG, it looks great. You can consider a very subtle shadow on the page. I think it would be better if you can reduce the coating effect more and more.

yes i think it would be better the more the coating goes back ... i wouldn't change the form of the nose ... i would start soem detailing on the front maybe some airintakes or a very sexy front like on this Audi concept ...

i think that would look "scary" enough ... great development Kurt :)

Hi Nico

I have to say that I'm impressed with your work, really nice.

Here is an image that shows a dome-ish type of eyes that are organic.
I feel that the shapes of these types of eyes will fit harmoniously to your
organically shaped object.

Like this wip, good job Nico

Hi Tom, you're welcome!! ;-) about the coating. I'll tune it down a bit more ;-) it was just that I liked the effect soooooooo much hehehe :D

Hi djflod, thanks!! Yes good one, I think I'll make it a cool air/space? :) intake!

Hi Aji, thank you very much, hehe yes those eyes are great!! 8)

this is really cool, but I'm feeling like it needs a tail…maybe something along the lines of an imperial shuttle-type tail, or something more wasp-like??? there'd be a "flight" position and a "landing" position…maybe a waspy thorax (?) would help re-direct the thrust of whatever engines are powering this thing for landing. :? 8)

How bout a ball camera (360) under the nose, hidden by dark transparent
glass.. ;)

Curt -

Looks like you'll need a little detail piece on the "outermost" portion of the landing pad feet to stop it from rocking and give it some stability. Those details might look interesting when they're retracted, too. Also, I'm thinking about just how scuffed up those panels will be!

Hi Noah, that could be fun :) but I think I'll keep it as is, but just a bit more detail

Hey Mike,

Yes I'll model that! I'm thinking of arraying small pyramids or maybe spheres over the surface, I think it would look cool to have those panels scuffed and the rest smooth with a nice scratch map dirt and roughness map :D

Cheers :)

Yeah true. I'm with Mike on the details and texture work.

That's when I'd be calling on Mike for some material work.. ;) Because in
Rhino, I still haven't figured out how to create my UV's. Sure I can map a
texture, but I want to create my own with masks, etc..

Nico, you're using Rhino 4 SR1. I'm quite new to Rhino (6 months). I've
used Max with Brazil back in the day, then Maya with FinalRender, even
Blender for a while with YafRay.

But I get so lost on Rhino at times. Maybe I can bother you every now
and again with questions, etc.. ? All my IM's are listed there, I think.
