I can't quite see what you're doing, Curt, but as long as you're this early, I'd consider doing a proper inset, dual-paned glass just for that extra kick...

Well since I opened my big mouth about it... what's holding the glass in place? I mean, shouldn't the actual panes be slightly inset from the frame, not quite flush, and pressed up against the frame? Maybe with a small trim...
