Any features you'd like to see implemented into Maxwell?

What you can do with that "Aeronoise" option is paint/select straight on the render which regions you want to focus the calculations on. Something like a lasso tool to say: "Hey, just go on with the render but with this region only".

That would be something cool to have in Maxwell.

I think it's a black and white mask. If I'm not wrong in the previous versions they blended the edge of the selection, but they removed it as it took too much resources and was not really needed. It is supposed that you would use it when most of the image is clear and need to focus on one or more parts. When everything is clear the seam is not seen.

The idea of selective rendering is very cool no matter which method we use but I think it will be a luxury because it will start from the begining. I mean that we spend 10 hours for the first rendering to reach SL 14.00 for example and then we will need to start from SL 0.1 for the selected region to reach SL 17.00
Maybe I'm wrong but this will still be a significant amount of time needed.

hmm... why this ? why start from 0.1 when You're already on 14 ?

just concentrating on the rest after 14 ...

It would be extremely useful to get something like aeronoise in Maxwell. I've used it at least a little bit and it works very well. Some kind of focused render-region would be great even just for material testing etc.

don't you think about the "bitmap region" , used with the Mat_ID layer?

So, is this a known issue?

Thanks a lot for your response, I will update and […]

did you tried luxCore?
