i find odd that the dual xeon 3.2 seems slower than the 2.8 so as the opteron 248...

i know it is difficult to compare two render engine
( even if i prefer the maxwell one because indirect lights shows more, render times can sometime be an issue ... )

i did two tests with a powermac G5 2x2.7 ghz running under OSX 10.4.2

here the logfiles, first with 8 threads:
