I know that the function for texture preview is disabled, but I wonder how you guys deal with it. How do you setup a scene properly with correct scaled and rotated textures. Is Maxwell Studio the only possibility or do you have a workaround in LightWave?

I use the plugin and lightwave 9.2 for animation and works perfect, u can load preset materials and preview them on maxwell material editor from lightwave plugin.

No doubt. The plugin works fine, but how do you deal with mappings? The preview of the maxwell material editor just gives you a rough idea of what it will look like.

U just need to do the mapping in Lightwave, Modeler or Layout, and then copy the layer on the maxwell material editor.

Thanks Inaki, I have not tried that, but it seems to be very obvious and probably the easiest way. :D

Just tried using the new LW plugin after a long time. Unless I am mistaken, in some of the earlier versions of the plugin could we not just do the surfacing in LW surface editor and the settings would then be automatically transfered into the maxwell editor. This would save a lot of time with the copying and pasting of texture layers between the two editors.
