Microsoft suggests an ideal consumer as a two party household with dual incomes and no children. Personalitity wise, a heavy slant towards materialism and an anal attentive focus towards cleanliness and detail, ..borderline OCD is a welcome trait in the ideal Surface consumer.

for Gods sake.... keep the wife away from the table!!!

They are nice little videos but what about coffee rings, children crayolas, markers, sweaty palms, the cat, a casualy dropped book, my wife's feet (she likes to put them on the coffee table), etc. Unless Microsoft has invented an impenetrable mar-proof surface to go along with this there is no way it will be used as commonplace as their videos suggest. Lets not forget repair bills, software updates, 'newer' 'better' versions, and furniture applications that appeal to a very wide spectrum of tastes.

I'm foaming at the mouth to have one for work but I just don't see how it could be practical for the average person.
