Brett have you tried applying a gravity force to your pflow to give it that impression that the droplets are sliding down the bottle? I havent messed with reactor in ages but i think that might give the drop mesh that sort of more mesh biased at the bottom type of look, instead of perfectly spherical

Hey Jeff -
I have tried a few modifiers but they tend to do the set of particles as a whole rather than individually so the effect wasn't really working. We're just trying to puzzle out reactor now so maybe there's something in there that will help. Thanks for the tip.

You have a very good grasp of contrast and freshness ... the only crit I have is that the back of the glass has reflections that seem a little CG. Even so, the image is still top quality.

renderings are great, but your postproduction in PS is just amazing...

Thanks Thomas and val-z! I'll have a look at the glass to see if I can see what you mean Thomas - thanks for the input.

Almost forgot: thanks to Kurt as well for the ribbed glass material - works great (I rotated the normal map to get vertical ribs the rest is default)

top notch as always brett!!!

reminds me of a commercial i saw years ago of a refreshing substance being poured into a glass of ice (much like the one you have shown). the camera slowly pulled back to show that the substance was being poured from a gallon of Cod Liver oil. 8)

do you have a wire to show of the latest renderings? i'm eager to see what this thing looks like in mesh form.

Wow! This is amazing! The only suggestion is the I would not serve beer on the rocks...how about pouring it on an icy glass and where the fluid touches the glass it would become "clean" (with texturing?)...

Thanks to all you guys - much appreciated!

Rusteberg: I'll post some wires for you later or tomorrow, my machine is tied up on another render right now. Cod liver oil? Could be - I hadn't made up my mind what exactly the liquid was till the bottom of the ninth - could still change my mind..... :)

Hyperballad: Yeah, Glu is a bit punishing to work with (slow, buggy, and forget about support - they haven't been active on their own forum in months) but it can be done in limited ways. Doesn't touch what Realflow can do, but it's not bad for stills anyway. I do find it hard to get thinner looking liquids though - they all tend to feel a bit thick, but it may just be me. If nothing else though - the Pwrapper tool is very handy.

rendek: Good thought, but I actually intended it to be more of a whiskey or liquor of some sort, not beer :)

kentarofj: You are right: the models are simple - I can't model anything to speak of really, but at this point I'm just testing materials and lighting (and Glu) so I'm working with stuff my associate can bang off fast or that I can whip up easily (like the ice cubes). We'll be moving on to more complex stuff soon I hope (like your watch!) :)

Not sure about me being a master Brett, but you certainly seem to be. ;)

Great new renders, really love your perspectives. Makes me want to just dive right in. :D
