Boring compared to a dancing bear shader, yes. But it is a long-awaited feature. I had Maxwell for barely a week before I asked for it. That was nearly 2-1/2 years ago. I'll have to verify it, but I think subsequent requests brought forth the inevitable biased/unbiased argument.

Yeah z-clip is usefull for the but it is really a just a tiny feature that should have been a standard already. Good that Zbrush 3 is comming out since Maxwell will probably be delayed again.. I can displace my ass off on it

Boring to me too. But I recognize that there is a very valid reason for it. I don't do a lot of architectural stuff, but I may actually use it for product pre-vis. Be very handy to render technical illustrations of mechanical things!

So, boring... perhaps for some... vital... yeah, for many.

Your absolutely right about this, it's a nice feature but not one I’d use very often if at all. I'm just hoping they are releasing the smaller feature improvements first and keeping the good stuff for the final release.
