I am getting some images to show you, but yesterday and today are bank holidays here in Spain, so I'll have to wait at least until tomorrow before I can show you something - I will have to check with some of my colleagues.
As you all know, the release is not far off now, but I'll do my best to make the wait bearable :D

Cheers!

Give Nicole a break...she did say AT LEAST.....at least until tomorrow..could be more. I am sure it will come when she has it.

Hi everyone,

Please find here some images, demonstrating first the new Shift Lens feature... The first image shows the result when Shift Lens is turned ON, and the second image shows the result when Shift Lens is turned OFF.

The third image shows "the powers" of the new Z-clipping feature, very useful, especially for architects, to show insides of buildings etc...

I know these might not be the most impressive images around, but I hope they showcase in an explanatory way what can be done with Maxwell Render 1.5. I am looking for another image that I will post too as soon as I can.

Thanks!

Nicole

edit: full-res images uploaded now! (learning how to use this forum  hehe)

BTW is it correct that the first image does not show any vignetting at all, thus demonstrating another new feature?

You can find info here:

http://photo.net/equipment/canon/tilt-shift

It's very useful for architectural renderings, to keep a 2 point perspective while still capturing the entire building. Otherwise you would have to either rotate the camera up, making it a 3 point perspective and making the building look like it's falling down. Or you would have to move the camera away until the whole building is in frame, making you waste a lot of rendering space (too much ground in the image, which you would throw away anyway).
