But the ui is pretty damn confusing and weird at the moment, pulling teeth is putting it mildly

Koufax: Yeap i been reading those and also checking some other places with info about how to get a grip around this app. Still it's a struggle.. i bet you could create some awesome images with it. Give the techdemo a try, grab it from the website and play around with it.

A quick one i just rendered with TG2, latest beta. 30 min totally including scenesetup and rendering.

great rendering! I wish I'd be able to generate a good fog in maxwell ... or volumetric lighting

Thanks kami fog in Maxwell hehe.. dream on because physically accurate fog would require 10 human lifetimes to render. But it's still a nice dream.

Here's a few more TG2 renders i punched out last night, rendertime varies between an hour to 1,5 hours and up to about 7 hours for the third image. But the third image is rendered at 1600x1200.

Looking great. Only crit is that it's always a bit noisy. With Maxwell scenes where many scenes could easily be low light, high ISO situations, it isn't that noticeable. But in a mountain range that noise looks weird.
