Hi,

I just ran the test on my E6600. Nothing special compared to these flux capacitor powered machines around here :D, but i thought it could be interesting to see how an oced conroe sys scales...

Ram: 2,0 GB
Sys: XP64

I hear you can pick up a pair of flux capacitors on Newegg.com for around $2000. -- give or take. :P

People can do in 21min what I can do in 3.5 hours on my home PC ... not good enough  I think I will wait for the dual octa-cores.

I'm just glad to see that, for once, the PC is outdoing the Mac with equivalent specifications. Also, if you look closely, it's actually a pretty significant difference! There's almost a 2 minute time decrease with the PC dual quad-cores, which accounts for a 9.5% gain in speed on the Speed Test scene (from the quickest render of 21:27 minutes). This might not be significant for a 21 minute render, but with a large scene at high resolution, that 9.5% time saving could be huge!! For an animation render, that 9.5% saving on time on each frame is even more important.
