In my country, 395Euro is more expensive than 495dollar. :?:

Pre-order price was $395 which works out at £199, Fryrender works out at £266. My mistake mate.

Nobody tells the opposite, or shows us any fast updates.
Maybe it is not possible because testing takes a lot of time. Maybe NL, because of the bad marketing choise with the RCs has less customers than they thought and they can't hire more programmers to speed up the process.
Maybe it is not for me to care about these things.
I write this to every post, I think Maxwell is the best renderer ever, not only for the results but for a powerful and easy material system and almost no silly parameters to play with, like vray for example (which I must say is a very nice renderer too!).
The correct thing to do is not blaming others if we don't blame ourselves first. This is what NL must think of.
The market was ready for a new kind of renderer and NL doesn't seem to take advantage of this as fast as they should

You know what who gives a f*$k about Micropoly Displacement Mapping system, I would prefer to see fryrender image quality sorted first before added new gizmos

I think that too much rendering causes the mind to become micro-poly displaced. Seriously, ....it's a cool feature no doubt, ... but as soon as NL implements their version it'll just be something else --perhaps next time it'll be something we have that they clamor about not having.
Don't you see it never ends when you take that tact?

Support who your with .... support both, ...jump ship ----whatever, ....but don't start this grass is greener soliloquoy BS.

Sorry, maybe it's a stupid question: does Vray not support micro displacement and unbiased rendering since a long time? Or is PPT not an unbiased mode?

Micha : Of course you're right. I wanted to change the thread's name just when I saw it posted in the list but I was just too lazy to do it. :)
