Surprising how water photographed at high speed looks more like "mud", I mean you would expect it to look leaner. Thinking of those Realflow examples I've seen. They look very much like this photo.

Here's a little anti-winter shot I did in the fall, ... a macro of some moss, ..overcast sky, ...suburban type setting. :)

I had no idea it would look that way, ... apparently moss has a high transparency .... ...who knew ?

Just browsing all the fantastic photos in this thread .. and noticed you are moving. So now you are really getting very close to the center of the universe (Copenhagen) :-)

Btw. my brother lives in Norra Valgatan in Malmo.

Hyperballad: Hehe aww what a cute little puppy you got there :) btw, you don't have to have pro equipment to post photos here. That's nothing to worry about.

Raph: Nicely stitiched panorama by hand  but why do you do it by hand.. there are automatic panoramastitching programs like AutoStitch which you should try, it does wonders with your photos.

Lud: Now that IS a good shot of the waterdrop splash. The pure black/white sharp contrast look makes it sweet looking.

Chris: Good one! the colors and the light are nice and smooth, i'd love to see this one in greyscale with slightly bumped up contrast, just a lil bit..

Lars: Hehe yeap i moved down south, although something i regret doing now :( it was better up north but oh well what can you do. Shit happens..
Good to hear you got a brother in Malmö.

Jeff: Welcome back from your vacation :) and it looks like you had a great time there with lovely snowy mountains surrounding you everywhere. I'm glad you posted these photos here so we got to see them.

Now i got a bunch of non-artistic photos. Just pure documentary shots to show you guys what i wasted money on. I threw away some cash on a brand spanking new computer as i were dead tired of my smelly old P4. This new baby will be put into production work real soon. :)

Hardware Stats:

- XFX GeForce 8800GTS 640MB GDDR3, PCI-Express, 2xDVI/HDTV/HDCP, 320-bit graphicscard.
- Asus P5WDG2-WS PRO, I975X, Socket-775, ATX, SATAIIx8, 2xGbLAN, DDR2, 2xPCI-Ex16 motherboard.
- Samsung DVD-burner SH-S183A, SATA, Black.
- Cooler Master Stacker Chassis (STC-T01) Black without psu.
- Cooler Master 4-in-3 module, Convert 3x5.25" to 4x3.5", With 120mm Fan.
- Q-Tec 650W PSU (mounted at the top of the case)
- Sweex 650W PSU (mounted at the bottom of the case)

Both PSU's are connected to supply a total of 1300W to the system.
Idle CPU temperature is about 32C and 100% cpu load is at maximum 40C.
Motherboard temperature is constantly about 36C.
I haven't yet attempted to overclock the system or any parts of it, maybe after a total reinstallation of XP i might do that.

Anyways i just thought i'd show you guys my new setup (didn't wanna start a new thread about this subject). Sorry about the poor quality photos.

damn Max that is a lot of power....1.3 MW jesus, I wouldnt think it would need that, but hey that gives you a lot of room in the future to really upgrade

Jeff: Hehe yeah that's alot of power but it makes the computer more futuresafe so i shouldn't have to upgrade in a long time again :) besides you should always have some overhead. And i can toss out the dualcore cpu and put in a quadcore later on when the price drops some more as the motherboard supports it.

Hyperballad: Thanks! :) but noo don't be jealous, that big orange copper thingy you see is the cpu cooling, it's the Zalman 9700 cooler which is one big mother****** to install. This rig runs all games i got at 1600x1200 with all the bells'n'whistles on at maximum too. :D [Edit] : I forgot to reply to your question about the total cost of this config, since i handpicked the different parts i could choose what i wanted within my budget and this went below my budget. Total cost for all components including shipping is about 1600 euros.

Mihai: Because i needed to split the power between two psu's to even the load some. But it ain't consuming 1300W as it runs, it consumes far less that's for sure. However the way i hooked stuff up in the case is that one psu powers my hdd's while the other powers my motherboard, dvd burner and graphicscard.

ludenhud, those are really strange, but in a good way. I really like them.

1 looks murderous, 2 looks alien, 3 looks like too much beer and 4 looks frozen.

Very cool. 8)
