mverta might be right but your images show even more than a super realistic maxwell "photo" ....the atmosphere and feeling is so wonderfull like in a fairytail

keep up the excellent work & style

It kinda has a Frank Miller saturated / dreamy style to it (sort of like Sin City, or the new "300" movie)

For all: many thx and happy new year! :D

X michaelplogue: Yes the pot subdivisions is not perfect and the orange are into the ground...compliments optimal observation :D I will modify both

X mouse: yes , are modeled ...I post the wire.

X mverta: ...this is the gerets style! :D ...reality is dark and grey...renders are dreams, color and light ...for me

michaelplogue wrote:By the way - do you use the Arroway texture sets? If so, I may have to break down and purchase the high resolution versions. They really look great!
I used arroway texture for the way but with 3dmax modifier displace! look the wire.

X y_okaue: this is too much! thx

oh and how does displace work in max? I can't figure it out. When I put my map in to displace it always comes out the same "pointy high and low peaks" any good tutorials?

Amazing job!

A bit over sharpened for my taste, but great anyways.

I'm interested too in the way you place the grass on the ground. Any special technic or just... put it there?

X Hyperballad: for the grass:

http://www.gerets.it/ederaerba.rar

for the displace: (I used 3dmax)
1) I used box with hight subdivision ...2cm -3 max (to observe the wire)
2) Mapped box and to assign the material
3) trasform the box in the editable poly and deleted all the polygons that are not looked at the cameramaxwell
4) displace (value 3-4cm) with material bump textures in the bitmap-displace and slag option to conserve the coordinates of the mapping
5) eh eh... this is all !
thx for the compliments

X Leonardo: oh yes...you have also a house… do you remember?

X Fernando Tella:thx Fernando.

I use simple 3ds objects...these:

Thank you very much Gianni, always helpful.

**edit** I downloaded that rar file and it looks like those are some of the maps you used and not 3ds files like you had mentioned. Maybe the wrong file?
