Hi.

I really need help with this, or I will loose this client... :?

Im trying to export from Maya to 3D-studio.

Right now, Im trying to export to .fbx, but my client says, he cant see the model when loading it. He does not get any error-messages, but there seems to be no model.

When I try to import the .fbx to Maya again, everything looks OK, so there is something in the file.

Anyone know what settings I should use when exporting to .fbx so it can be opened in 3d-Studio, or is there something my client can do to view the model.

Or is there any other format I can export to? Is there really not a "direct to 3d Studio-export"-plugin for Maya?

Thanks.

Can you export .OBJ? This imports OK into Max, though often you usually have to rescale it considerably (around 9,000 times bigger sometimes).

Make sure that he import the file instead of trying to open it: once I had client keep telling me he was unable to open a file whilst he was supposed to import it...

also make sure you have the same version of the fbx in maya and max. autodesk seems to develop fbx pretty much as priority. there have been several updates lately.
