Hello everyone

I have a hard time figuring out how I can match the Cinema camera I see in the viewport to Maxwell Camera.

I got close to it by choosing "As viewport" in the plugin settings, but still a large area got cut of.

How do you do it?

Thanks for your help

.I don´t know if I understand your question properly, but...

...I think, that you must synchronize output resolutions in cinema4d and maxwell. First adjust output resolution in cinema-render settings. You´ll see the borders in the viewport then. If it is ok to you, type the same resolution into maxwell output settings. It can be smaller also, ASPECT RATIO is important then. You should see no cuttings then...

thank you patrickpanda

but that doesn't do it for me.

I tried what you said before asking here, but just can't get it to match.

Is anyone willing to share some screenshots of their C4d Output settings and then the Maxwell Camera settings.

Seems like I'm the only one not getting it ;-)

cheers

Use the target tag. Create a null object and asign it as a target to the camera.

Hi sunmade...

It's possible, that I didn't understand you correctly... if so... please ignore the following...

Screenshot cameraview in c4d.editor (on an 1024x768 monitor):

Screenshot of maxwell.camera.settings:

Screenshot of Maxwellrender:

I'd say, the render matches the viewport size (defined by borders up, down, left and right), with given pic-proportion (output resolution setting in c4d render settings) of 400*400 and given monitor screen resolution.

One has got to think of the monitor resolution used... for me it's 1024*768, so the viewport size and therefore the final rendered size is relative to it...

If I used a resolution, let's say, of 1600*1200... I would get a larger render in the end of course... with identical settings.
Btw: Don't ask me, why the one pixel is missing in the final rendering... it's 658*657, but it should be 658*658...

Greetings.
Mesut.

P.S.: The left and right borders in the editor screenshot are a bit hard to see... sorry for that..
