Yes. I manually removed the DLR and then ran the exe to install the new plugin. When finished, the DLR is back in place inside the MAX/PLUGIN folder.

Does that help?

Hi,

Is this correct?

It's a 3ds max standard blinn shader translation

As you can see, I raised the specular level, but there is no change.

and additive mode is correct?

Motion blur is disabled in the current build, we haven't had time to finish it. It will come when we update the plug-in with animation features (as I said previously, this will probably happen during the next week).

We fixed the ranges on many attributes, including shutter speed. Most likely, we'll release a bugfix build tomorrow.

Specular level controls the weight of the glossy layer, but it's clamped to 100. We can disable the clamping to see how it looks like, but there are some issues with layer weights over 100.

We use additive mode when translating Blinn and Phong to make them look more plastic-like.

I answered the problem with the plug-in not loading in the thread where it was originally posted, here.

Yes, we'll add support for that in both Max and Maya.

Please keep in mind that aside from the global scale factor, the scene units are also affecting the scale.

We should use that scene scale factor as a multiplier to translate our scene to meters, right? Would be nice to have a text tip next to that box, just to make it clearer.

Thanks for your reply Mihnea  . One more question: if i have my 3dsmax internal system units in meter ,the scene scale in maxwell parameter would be 1? and if i´ve internal system units in cm the maxwell scene scale would be 0,01?

Thanks!

No, the plug-in automatically converts whatever units your scene has into meters. For example if you scene is set up in inches and you make a sphere with radius 100, it will be automatically scaled to 2.54 when exported (inches -> meters). If you scene is modeled at the correct size, you don't need to touch the global scale factor. That's only useful if you have a scene that was modeled without taking care of units and it looks wrong in Maxwell (DOF issues, emitters not giving enough light etc.)

To wrap it up, you don't have to touch the global scale factor when you change your units from meters to centimeters.

Excused my English, you must see in Customize->Configure path->plug-ins (of 3ds), it selects the MR line and delete.
uninstall the new plugin and install new plugin.

Therefore it would have to work :)
