Please post here anything else (not relating to Maxwell technical matters)

I've been looking at this software and find it very interesting, but does any one can give me an idea of how easy or simple the is it from an architectural point of view.

My interest is to use it as a object modeler for chairs, sofas etc, not much of a building modeler, but a furniture modeler.

Thanks.

By the way, will there be any support from next limit on this software?.

I use it. Love it. It has essentially all the modeling capabilities of the others, ..but remains a lightweight interface. Of course, ..the price is right and with the 2.0 version due out soon, ... the painting/displacement stuff is a big bonus.

plug-in , NL ... ? ...have no idea. Still, ..even with none, .. moving models/scenes over to your native app should be no problem.

I believe Chris covered it all :) hehe, except one thing.. which is that you don't need to have a Maxwell plugin for Silo since it's basically just a modeler and from it you can and should export your models to some other program with Maxwell support.

But Silo is great and a very powerful modeler for it's sexy low price :) and it's strongest point with the 2.0 release is that you can easily sculpt organic models with it without having to deal with Zbrush's quirky interface and workflow :D

I agree Silo is the best and most intuitive SubD modeler i know of.
That said it doesn't really offer the tools for precise architectural modeling.
If you need CAD like precision don't pick up SILO.
You can certainly use it very well during the design phase though as you will crunch polys like never before (i hope) ;)
