Has anyone attempted to get Maxwell to run on an emulator such as WINE?

I tried with RC5 and the installation worked, but the GUI was unusable. I was never been able to licence it:

Wow, just read your original thread regarding wine. Sorry I missed it when I searched the topic.

So it looks like there's a degree of success, or at least enough to get me to try. I take it that the licensing issue was never figured out?

Maybe this new thread will get a response from Juan regarding the license. He's been very active and helpful lately.

hmm... for about a month or so without solving it.

I think I got the license thing to "work" (finding the license) but it wouldn't
work for reasons I cant remember anymore today.

But hey, 1.2 for Linux sounds promising =)

Just to keep you updated, Maxwell 1.5 runs on Wine.
Tested with mxcl 1.5_32 // Fedora Core 7 i386 on 32 bit hardware

Although, due to Wine emulation it's remarkably slow comparing to a real Windows session.

You need to add MAXWELL_ROOT from Wine registry editor to be able to launch it properly.
