I'm really enjoying the simplicity of using Maxwell and although I'm struggling a little (I'm an XSI user desperate for a plugin) having to revert back to Max after about a 4 year absence I think I'm getting results.

Thought I'd do some Gem Stones

- models from http://www.3dlapidary.com/HTML/Stones1.htm

- ior's (nd's) from http://www.robinwood.com/Catalog/Techni ... xList.html

- 12 hours, 4 bounces, 18 samples, Maxwell 1.1.33 on a PIII 700MHz!

Wow. Those results with 700Mhz after only 12 hours!

And I thought my 2Ghz P4 was slow compaired to everyone else's dual 2+Ghz processors!

Very good.
