I get about 5 of these emails sent to me a day which I can't seem to block. I'm interested to know why there are random lines across the image though. Does anyone know?

I cant think of a more inefficient method of trying to steal money from people.

The usual email is asking for money to release more money. In the UK they did a TV series asking to meet the Nigerians to hand over the money. The money was hidden in a park next to a tree. The Nigerians had to find it using a kids treasure map and then dig for it with a spade. Was quite funny.

I get tons of these too. I don't think they're Nigerian, I think they are attempts to manipulate penny stocks. These are all real companies, and the emails aren't asking for money or anything. What I want to know is why I see these images at all when I have image loading turned off in Thunderbird?

Some stories are hilarious, and would have needed lots of patience from the faker on the good side...
My fav is a story where the scammer finally thought he was dealing with a british princess a bit dumb, that had involved her old uncle that kept all her millions for her until she was 18, a former KGB agent, and a few MP's... the scammers got as much as 10 different identities( himself, a few lawyers, a few bankers, former ministers etc...).
Takes a while to read but is really hilarious!
Other fav is that scammer that sent proof of his goldmine ( after weeks of negociation from the US guy that was going to invest in them) by fedexing a real gold pepite to the US. He got a Dumbest Guy on earth diploma in return!
