Max, that would be cool, an iceberg enclosing a diving basin full of sweet coke. Unfortunately it's not that huge, maybe 30cm high.. just a soft drink bottle cast in acrylic glass. Judging by decal and glass shape it could be a rare "original". Today you can get all kinds off bottles in "ice", with blue LED lighting bs..

afri cola was (still is) a german cola make, gained a reputation for strong brew (at the food authority's caffeine limit) and cool advertising in the 60s and 70s. Went almost down the drain in the 80s, surviving as hot shit for a small crowd. Trying to exploit that status in 90s retro mainstream land, a big brewery took over, toned down the caffeine, but success did not come easily. Regulars did not like light afri.. some even went brewing their own.. As of 2006, afri is back on high caffeine again.

I like your Skane shot. Mystic glow behind the woods. And truly rural..

Hervé: Thanks, and yes the strange tint is due to the way i composited the shot. It's basically a hdr photo as i used 9 different exposurs all blended and tonemapped into one photo. Although this is a bad hdr i made as it's the first one i ever tried to do, i'll try to make a better one.. and it's a pretty place, kinda flat and without any snow but still nice :)

Dexel: O i see now, it's only 30cm.. altough i'd say that's pretty big for that type of drink. It must be pretty expensive, i mean so much liquid don't come cheap unless it's pure water :) hope it was a good one. Thanks also for your comments on the Skane shot, as i wrote above to Hervé is'a a multi-exposure photo (HDR) and that's why there's the weird colorization on the ground and the sky looks the way it does.. a bit off but still kinda interesting in a way.

I combined all 9 exposures into one long picture if anyone wanna take a look, just click on the thumbnail to view the higher resolution version. It's all extracted info from one RAW photo, 0.5ev difference between each photo. -+0 is located in the centre of the long photo below. It ranges from -2 to +2.

Max, that's interesting. Each single exposure seems to be lit quite evenly, or rather from the right, yet the combo has that highlight top left behind the woods. Any idea why? Did you combine those in Photoshop?

Soon all will be white..

Probably some late Cumulonimbus, right. But how does PS know? There is no hint on real sun position in any of the nine single exposures.. Some hidden EXIF compass?

Dexel: Yes well the mistake i did was to use too many exposures in a photo with too little contrast in it which made it rather dull, if you compose these hdr shots using fewer exposures with more larger ev's between them like one exposure should be -2 and the middle one is +-0 and the last one is +2, that way you span a wider range and the effect will be more obvious. I'll retry this as soon as i get a chance as it can result in very cool photos. I used Photomatix to combine all 9 exposures in the photo above.

Hervé: Nope i used Photomatix, it's a great program for these kinda things.

Fernando: Yep i think you're right.

Dexel: I think it extracts the EXIF data from each exposured photo and use that when it combines them into one. But i'm not really sure..

So.. i went downtown today, had some errands to run as i'm moving down south very soon (new job) :) there were a pretty nice sunset this afternoon and i ofcourse had to snap a couple of pics of it. I know the two photos are quite similar and that the sun in centered in the first one, lame composition i know but it's ok.. :D

Nice pics Max
The light is better on the first one and the composition better on the second one.

Pierre: Thanks :) and you're right, i fully agree with you on that which is why i posted them both. I forgot my tripod at home when i shot these, the pics would probably been better if i had it with me. But then again, these are just snapshots.

Mahaiai: I just had to misspell your name, sorry :D hehe, so you never seen that white stuff on the ground, it's pretty cool.. i can FexEx some to you if you want

iker: Hehe yeap that's snow, some of it all we got here now but wow 22c  where do you live when there's such a summertemperature ?! if i get time before i leave i'll try to go to the other side of town and shoot some real nice Christmas like motives at a place. It'll be beautiful this time of the year with all the snow covering it.
