Aah that's nothing, ... wait till you add the Mihai rivets

but seriously though, ... what are your mesh settings ? ... I think that triangle count could get knocked down considerably .... could get sluggish a little in rhino down the line ....

Great project Nico.

I'd try a low poly duplicate as an array to produce the rivets, or as a duplivert control mesh. That way you'd only need to model one rivet.

When I use a lower mesh setting I get all strange mash effects, btw, I've tried in R4 and meshes are calculated much better, or so it seems

Yeah, ...don't use his rivets. I think they're of the cheap paper maché variety.

Okay then, ... yes,---R4.0 does handle meshing much better. They finally have an internal ability to mesh individual objects and none of that 'global only' style editor.
