Bodypaint is now incorporated into the whole Cinema 4D package.

What host application do you use, maybe a way to go is to try blender or wings 3d.

I belive blender has a very nice UV un-wrap function

Zbrush is awesome but takes a bit of getting used to if you use normal 3D software (took me 3 days to work out how to save stuff!).

The cheapest option I think is Hexagon 2 at http://www.daz3d.com/program/hexagon/, it is supposed to be as good a modeller as Modo, some say better, although the painting isnt quite as good. It is also half price (normally $149 i think) at the moment if you become a platinum member (for $29) so a pretty good deal I reckon (no I dont work for them!) and theres also a demo.

Wow hexagon looks very similar to silo and I love silo.

Check out Nevercenter.com and look into the new silo. It has many features that zbrush has, but I also own Zbrush and it's an amazingly powerful program. I wish I had more time to learn it right now.

Hi Gary, yes I use Max8 as well but came across Hexagon and Modo in my search for a decent subdivision modeller (I think Silo is in that category as well).

The workflow between Zbrush and Max doesnt seem to be what I would call intuitive but I think thats because it is very flexible as opposed to problematic. However, it is well documented (check out the various tutorials sites) as most people seem to render their painted textures and displacment maps in a different app anyway. Havent had much experience with Hexagon yet.

good luck
