win xp 32- e6600 - lw plugin
vista 64 - i7 2,67 ghz - 8gb ram

You can do this to a fashion.

Create your new mxm. Right click in the BSDF layer stack and select import MXM.

Select MXM you wish to use BSDF layers from. Now delete any BSDF layers you don't need, after they appear in the stack.

Can you not drag and drop from one MXED to another? It does say something in the manual, about multiple MXED's open at the same time.
