Very nice Pierre.
Best use of a floor lamp for that kind of shot I've seen.

Thats not a floor lamp reflecting in your fixture?
Looks like a conical light, with a circular foot.

Yeah funny :) I did not see it.
It's only an empty room with white walls and ceiling, a black floor and 2 light panels on the walls.
I find it is clean enough for a catalogue and there is enough contrasts for the chrome reflections.
What do you think ?

Hi Pierre,
I think its a very nice shot.
The idea of using a room environment as your reflecting environment is a very good one.
When you print it at the size to be used in the catalog, that's when you'll *really* see how it looks.
For what I do, I often find myself using simpler reflections for smaller reproductions. Reflections that look too siimple and boring may close up, and really define the shape of the shiny object with reduced.
Keep up the good work.

Beautifully done, Pierre.
I especially like the small bottle of scotch.
What is the material for the counter top?
That is the only thing I would take a second look at.

Thanks,
The counter was supposed to look like marble... but I can't find a texture that looks goods and that tiles correctly
Anyway, the counter is not what we want to sell...so maybe it's better if it doesn't look too good

Hi Pierre,
Have you looked at the Arroway textures/materials?
They are pretty convincing when applied properly.

I wish somebody would do a jaw dropping mother of pearl.

I look forward to seeing more of your work.

I think it was an arroway texture...but I must not have applied properly :D

Oh, no!! You sound like moi!
I think there is a good tute in the Tutorial section here. I looked at it some time ago.
I seem to recall the texture needs to be applied in three channels for the *full effect*.
I'm getting close to the *thinking about buying" the whole collection.
