At any rate, ... pretty cool. ;)

"The Maxwell Render 64 bits version for Windows will get most out of the new hardware and provide users with more memory to create higher resolution images and better textures."

They mean to tell us that we need a 64-bit system to create anything larger than a A3?
Are they for real???

are you serious ? i don´t get it.
some people are really hard to be pleased.
what do you want them to do ? a statement like this:

"Er... sorry, we just devoloped the 64bit version of maxwell.
not that you need it. it doesn´t do anything and you don´t have any advantages with it. it is just for running on those stupid 64bit OS versions who haven´t got any advantages as well.
what ? the 32bit version could be already used on those... well, then all this was for nothing.
never mind !"

sorry for being sarcastic. but your post didn´t give me a choice.

I´m not arguing about a 64-bit system, only that you need one to render out highres, something that should´ve been possible already.

so how would you advertise it if you had just develeoped one ?
i think memory usage was one of the advantages of 64bit. wasn´t it?

i really do not get your point, sorry

My point is that you should already be able to render out highres with a 32-bit system.
I don´t mind a 64-bit system, it allows for more complex scenes and far more objects , but it shouldn´t have to be necessary only to render out something larger than A3-size.

Hi Rochr, sorry I don't understand your complaint either. If the -hd option worked properly in 1.1 would you not be saying this? Also, at what resolution do you need to render for A3 or >?
