Love my 19" widescreen but can anybody suggest a good render resolution because all my test renders 800 x 600 are stretch so any advice on a good render res?

Thanks

and you really need to know a bit about whether your system has the right drivers... I have a freind that has a widescreen, and it was a trial by error to find a rez that worked well...

The screen has a native resolution printed on the box, ...you should use that.

What kind of graphics card do you have? ...and do you know what the current drivers are ? If your screen resolution isn't listed in [Display Properties], ...updating the video drivers will probably provide for the proper screen resolution settings.

I think ATI's latest are the Catalyst 6.9 drivers and Nvidia's are the 91.36 / 91.47 drivers.

I have a 24inch wide screen sony and the only graphics card I could find to support it were Nvidia(this may have changed) I run it at 1600x1024 which is a wide screen setting.

@ mtripoli - Having a look and see what works
@ Ivox - Not proud of my graphics card but here goes nothing it a ATI Sapphire Radeon X550 256MB DDR PCI-E DVI/TVO With Lite Heatsink and currently down loading the latest drivers!
@ Neil - My max resolution is 1440x900 so you think i should max out?

Try it, not sure if that is a wide screen setting...Not working on that screen at the moment so I can't test it.

Teabag, ...my secondary monitor is exactly a Samsung 19" (1440 x 900) widescreen. That's the right one, ie, ...resolution. :)
