Sure be nice to right-click>import mxm>LAST FOLDER OPENED rather than drilling down every single time i want to import a material through 8 folders to get to the materials database.

IMO all import/export/open/save dialogs should remember not just the last folder opened but the last folder THAT specific dialog box opened.

Also another Godsend in the explorer dialog window, I love this in max.



Sorry if this has been requested already but I find this a fairly simple fix and a very important time/aggrevation/click saving feature.

hehe, try importing 30-100 different mxm files you'll wear out your mouse.

Agreed, this is a must! and perhaps the ability to bookmark directories for quick access from any file dialogbox. And it'd probably be good if it supported folders in a network aswell.

My current workarounds for Windows:-

For HDRI or multiple same file loading, use the recent files option on the left in the load file dialogue, once you've loaded the file once.

For mxm access, put a shortcut to the materials database folder in your My documents folder.
Then use the shortcut button to my documents when the load file dialogue opens.

For multiple textures, load all at once to the same material texture slot, then select from the drop down list for the relevant texture for each slot.

I use shortcuts on my desktop, works well for me. Anytime you've reached a buried directory - before you open it, right click and select copy, then click the desktop icon shown on the left pane and right click to paste shortcut to your desktop.

Then you never have to drill that way again!

besides when mxm search for the rigth folder of a map ( that has changed path) would be nice to be able to use shortcuts for the search , which now is impossibile
