There are some things in life where bigger is better. And I would put monitors on that list.

Unless you have a higher res. to match your large screen, surely it's cheaper to just move the chair nearer to a smaller one?

Hi, I´m looking to buy a new lcd/tft monitor and have my mind set on a
dell 2407wfp Wide-Screen model. I was wondering is anyone of you is using it,
I would like to hear how are you satisfied?
but I´m open to suggestions about simmilar type of monitor.
I do primarily 3d, but very often some graphics for print so colors are very important

please give your opinions and advices, I´m totaly lost in the sea of monitors
and have no experience with lcd/tft. used to old crt_s

I am using this one and very happy. Yes the screen is a samsung one. I have one of the first and these are very good, better and cheaper then the mac's. But the later ones are less so good. Now they have again a newer version but don't know what they say about this one. Ask for the details and check it at http://stores.tomshardware.com/rating_g ... e=masterid

Well, the plot thickens a bit.
I am now told the 930BF is no longer available (after receiving confirmation of my order), but I can buy the new 940BF for $30.00 more.
It has some second generation Magic features and 2ms response time.
So now I'm up to $249 for the new monitor.
As for size, I like 19-21". I've looked at larger screens, but just don't like moving so far back it feels comfortable.

For me, 20" screen at 1600x1200 is the perfect compromise.

As everyone's recommending what they have, I'll put in a good word for my Eizo L887 - great controls.

The first price I ran into was $1,150.00 USD. I can imagine it is a very nice monitor.

Got the Samsung 940BF, 19" yesterday. So far so good. It will take a few days to get my colors adjusted and get all the settings tweeked. The defaults and presets are not appealing.
Its a great improvement over my CRT Samsung Syncmaster.
