images show progress...still a little more to go

The guard rail on the terrace is anodised sheet aluminuim in natural finish (the fact I have to say that is not a good sign :) ) - It needs some work

Still have environment to come and I intended to add some baic interior details, such as blinds / curtains that can be seen from the exterior.

Any C+C + thoughts on how I could improve realism welcome as always.

i actually liked the design before the bricks were put on. It had a faily unique modern look going on. Now it kind of looks like any other apartment building. I am not a fan of so much brick with nothing to really break it up as far as materials go. To me I like bricks as an accent material. This is just my 2cents. Now what that plain red material would be made out of in reality I have no idea. The rendering from a technical standpoint looks very good so far.

I don't think it's a bad sign that you have to say what the guardrail is made out of. After all, except in close-ups, you're not going to get much detail out of any metal that isn't heavily bumped...and who would assume that that's what it's made out of anyway?

One suggestion on the wall construction, you'll need lintels above all those openings as you can't do that with bricks.........they fall down!
I too liked the coloured 'plaster' render on the walls, very cool on a building like that..........you could cover the lintels that way too and keep the simplicity.
Nice clean MWR render too! 8)

Thanks for the comments guys.

Glebe, I think its possible to have a steel lintel behind the brickwork. It might look a bit odd because there is no soilder course - just the running course throughout the facade.

The design is my friend's who's an architect, so I can't change anything at the moment, still I might do my own version once I'm done...hmmm...I'm thinking of a horizontal timber clad facade... 8)

Yeah I confess, you could use galintels.........expensive though! :P
Your right it's probably the continual running-course that's taking my eye, I like the horizontal cladding idea......
