When I download MXM's from the MXM Gallery and open them up in the Editor, there is no information there at all, just the deault new material settings.

Anybody able to help me out here?

Am I missing something?

It might be that the material you're loading into the scene, is named "default", and if you have another material named default in the scene, it won't get loaded. This is the same for any material name btw, if a material in the scene has the name of a material you're trying to import, it won't import.

Also, make sure you are using Maxwell V1.1 (if you are on v1.0, it will not load any of the new mxm)

Thanks for the replies.

Everything is working now. It was just that at work I am having trouble installing V1.1 because of some Windows issues.

I tried it with my own license at home and everything is fine!

I am a bit slow to upgrade this time around, as there seemed to be issues initially with 1.1.
