Edwin: What i meant is that i don't own a big 3 legged tripod or a one legged tripod, only the small 10 centimeter small macrotripod for closeup shots. It wasn't useful for longexposure outdoor photos like these i took. And ofcourse the camera should been a SLR, not this pocketcamera thingy.. :/ anyways that's what i meant. Btw.. thanks! :)

Is that a tomatodrink with Tabasco to it.. spicy! :D

Thomas: Thanks! :) i'm glad you liked them. The settings are as follows for the images in the order they were posted.

Image 1
ISO: 200
Exposure Time: 4 seconds
F-Number: 5.00
Whitebalance: Auto (i let the camera handle this so i could focus on the photo itself)

Image 2
ISO: 200
Exposure Time: 2 seconds
F-Number: 5.60
Whitebalance: Auto (same as above, the camera handled this)

yep...hadn't even opened the bottle that day...just moved some things around in the cupboards...but I guess touching the rim of the bottle was enough. :o

Max: That's what I want, a small macro tripod. You got me going on the close up shots and I am always balancing the camera on all sorts of things and someday if I am not careful the hole lot will all come falling down. Well Max you still create some great shots with
my crappy cam
,you have an eye for the moment.
The drink is a 'Bloody Mary' (Tomato juice, Vodka, Hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, some ground black pepper and salt all on ice, stirred with a stick of Celery...well that's how I make mine ) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloody_Mary_(cocktail)/
glypticmax: Sorry it is not 'Suzie's' but 'Susie's' They have a simple website http://www.susieshotsauce.com/ it gives you a bit of a history.
Since we are talking about sauce from the West Indies here is a shot of a tropical plant I got my wife the other day, sorry I have no idea what it is, any one got a clue?
for now I'll call it
"Tropical Flame"

I can't help but once again take a photo of my cat, I don't know which on of you is the laziest one, me for not having the strength to take the camera with me during my day or him for just being on that spot for 5-6 hours a day :)

MAX: I like the way you tone your macros with that greenish hue, thumbs up

Me too for the dark hallway, also like the arches great lighting.
ludenhud: Cute kitty and I like it with the paw print fabric, at first I thought it was lighting.
Good to see more pics here, at least I don’t feel like max and I are filling in the gaps to keep this alive.

Hervé: Hehe funny pizza story :D

Edwin: But this small tripod i got is no more than 10cm high with 3 legs on it. It's for closeup shots when you're at groundlevel or got somewhere to place it on. This one i got of some unknown brand cost only like 25 euro so it's pretty cheap :) but it works well for what it should do. Anyways a better camera would result in much better photos, it's pretty limiting with only a pocketcamera now. Oh ok, a Bloody Mary.. sounds good :) i like your 3rd closeup of the flower, it's like if you don't know what it is you can't really say it's a flower or part of a flower.

Lud: Nice pussy :) the poor little thing looks so sleepy. Btw thanks :) the brownish tone (sepia) i think makes macro's like these more interesting, more than often the original colors straight outta the camera makes macro shots look pretty boring and like everyday photos.

Mihai: Thanks! :) and excellent photos yourself  the first, second and third one are all great one's.

So i went flying yesterday, i had this jobinterview in Söderhamn (a bit north of Stockholm). Here's a couple of pics from my trip yesterday..

OMG, Pierre!
We have one almost identical to that in our front yard. The nursery called it a "Tokyo" something or other.
Very nice picture.
Ours has long since faded for the season.

Thanks glypticmax
That's a picture I took during summer in this garden where they have a collection of 1200 species of hydrangeas and hortensias.
Here is another sample of what you can see there...

Beautiful stuff, Pierre.
I'd love to visit those gardens one day.
Here is a link to the local garden I frequent. Its about 5-10 min. from my house. I've never taken pictures as I go so often. Maybe in the Spring I will take a few and post.

Nice garden glypticmax...yes please do post some photos.
We have several beautiful gardens around but unfortunately they are not free :( (the most famous one asks an entry fee of 25€ per person for a one hour guided tour !)
