Hey guys and gals. I found some more free time, but got so darn bored with going back to that camera, that I figured I'd quickly do some more stuff. So here's a monitor.

ImageImageImage

Exciting huh? :D The power section needs to be remodelled, so I took it out for the moment, and the materials still need abit of tweaking. I'm hoping to do an animation with this monitor, involving rain, sand, snow and mud. Only simple stuff, but I want to see what Maxwell can do with it. I'll probably end up coming back to it every now and again.

Cheers,
Dr Merman

Really nice render! Is that Drqueue in the task bar? I've been messing with that myself.

Thanks guys :)

Wiz : Its actually azureus, a bit-torrent thing. I'm getting the new modo evaluation/tutorials <rubs hands gleefully> Saying that, you've now got ME trying out DrQueue...
Kraemer : Mind.......exploding......
Rivoli : Yeah I haven't quite figured out how to do it yet, but I'm slowly getting there! It might actually make a nice challenge. I'll see what I can cook up.

Thanks to the rest of you too, I'll keep it updated.

Cheers,
Dr Merman

Looks great! Maybe a bit more "sparkly" materials? Just a real fine bump would do it I think.

Thanks guys :) I agree that I have to alter the mats slightly. I'm creating some very fine noise textures now, that I'm going to try putting in the bump channel. This is usually the part where I begin to get confused, so it should be interesting! I'll update when its cooked abit.

Cheers,
Dr Merman

Hey guys,
I've had pretty much ZERO time to work on any of my own stuff but heres a really quick update with the back section details in place, but not textured.

The mats in the above image are still temporary. I had a quick play with making the materials more sparkly, but am not having much luck. At the moment I'm using a very fine bump map in just the bump channel. Anybody have any suggestions? (I'll try and post some mat renders later today or tomorrow.)

Cheers,
Dr Merman

Faraz : Thanks man, its all modelled in Maya, unfortuanatly :D
